Book Review: Seven-Mile Miracles
This is a great book to read during lent. The Author paints a portrait of practical applications of Jesus’s death and resurrection. Seven-Mile Miracle by Steven Furtick provides various ways to apply the wisdom from the journey to the cross and to the resurrection to our walks with Jesus.
Personally, I liked how the book is laid out. In the book, Furtick used mile markers, main points, through a seven-mile journey from Emmaus to Jerusalem. This book is a detailed dive into Luke 24:13-35.
At the end of each chapter, there are questions for the reader to ponder. The book would be great as a bible study curriculum. The questions at the end of each chapter would spark wonderful conversation. I would recommend reading and journaling through this book, upon completion you can reflect on all you have learned throughout the journey. Also included in the book is a 40-day reading guide to Jesus’s death and Resurrection.
As previously mentioned, it is a good book to read during Lent. It would make a great gift for someone who’d like to understand the cross. This book paints a beautiful picture of “cross = love”. It is a handy tool to spark conversation about the cross. It also highlights the journey of a Jesus follower in relation to Jesus’ journey to the cross. Whether one has a personal relationship with Jesus or simply curious about what that means, this is a good read.
Lent begins March 1st. The book releases February 28th. Pre-order a copy. Happy Reading!
