Book Review: Know Who You Are

Know Who You Are: Live Like it Matters

Know Who You Are is a great devotional for school age children, especially homeschoolers because Tim Tebow was one. This book has 36 life lessons about identity and living for what matters. It is set up as one lesson each week of a standard school year.

I read through it and plan on giving it to my niece to do during the fall. The language of the book is easy to understand for 4th grade and up. The younger age group may need help with a few concepts here and there, but that simply opens the door to conversations about identity.

It is a book that would be helpful in developing skills like studying the Bible and journaling. It also may spark an interest in scripture memory. Each week there is a Bible verse, which you can encourage your child to learn through using various activities.
At the end of each lesson, the reader has something to think about, which can also be used as an avenue to pray about it and set goals for the week to apply what they learned.

This book is an excellent tool for Christian families, who want to help stir interest in knowing God, Knowing his word, and loving others. Each of those three vital aspects of life can easily work into conversations through the process of going through this study.

Thanks to Blogging for Books yet again for giving me the opportunity to read and review Tim Tebow's book Know Who You Are: Live Like it Matters. It is a book that does an excellent job addressing so many of the struggles one faces when it comes to discovering your true identity. I would recommend this book for school age children from 4th to 12th grade. From personal experience, I've found that knowing who you are, starts with knowing whose you are.
