Book Review: Kisses from Katie

Kisses from Katie is a story of faith and trusting Jesus. It is an encouraging story. As I was preparing to read Daring for Hope by Katie Davis Majors, I heard story after story of various individuals from many different walks of life share how much Kisses from Katie transformed their prospective on life and adoption.

For me, I read Kisses from Katie for the first time before reading Daring to Hope, I was encouraged even more to be an active part in changing the world around me. Whether on a mission field far away or within my own community. I intend to be ready to lend a helping hand.

The beauty of joy after sorrow is illustrated in the many stories in Kisses from Katie. She shows that the hard places in life are good because ultimately redemption, beauty, and joy are on the other side. We have this hope in the middle of heartache because God turns those hard times into good things: like learning experiences, growth opportunities, and trusting God. It is a story of having faith in God to always show up in our lives, to take care of us, to bandage our wounds, to bind up our broken hearts, because we are filled with the Spirit of God knowing and living the truth that God is enough.

I am looking forward to reading Daring for Hope, it is a continuation of the story. If you haven't read Kisses from Katie, it's a good read and it's encouraging.

Until next time, Happy Reading!
